Pushing Someone up the Mountain

Vishal Khandelwal · Nov 4, 2015 · Leave a Comment

The best way to come out of depression is to encourage others.

Sounds ridiculous, right?

But it’s true.

When you start encouraging others, your focus shifts from your problems to others. The constant chatter inside your head, about how big and scary your problems are, suddenly loses its audience.

Even if it’s to encourage others, when your mouth is uttering positive words, the mind find it hard to harbour negative thoughts.

As the saying goes – When you push someone up the mountain, you’re right behind them going up the mountain the whole way!

The Sands of Now

Vishal Khandelwal · Nov 3, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Life is like an hourglass.

The sand in the upper bulb is the collection of future moments – not arrived yet. The grains in the lower bulb are the past moments – frozen.

The only thing that you can hold, experience or change is that tiny orifice which contains the present moment.

Don’t let the sands of NOW slip past from your palms of awareness.

Live in the present moment.
