Eliminating the Non essentials

Vishal Khandelwal · Oct 8, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Have you ever wondered why the president of United States of America, Barrack Obama, chooses to wear only two kinds of suits i.e. blue and black?

Because he wants to save his mental energy for far more important decisions than to worry about his daily dress code. That’s a conscious strategy to bring focus on the most important things in life.

The daily quota of willpower, which is depleted by every decision you make daily, is limited for every body. Don’t waste it on insignificant decisions.

When you decide to eliminate every single non essential stuff from your routine, then and only then can you devote your time and and energy to something meaningful.

And if it means sticking to just one grey t-shirt, like Mark Zuckerberg, so be it!

Everybody dreams of financial freedom and it is worth achieving, without any doubts.

But you don’t have to wait till you are financially free to start your work on other areas of life.

You can start today, by developing just one routine …

1. to improve your health.

2. to improve your relationships i.e. emotional well being, and

3. that will make you mentally stronger.

So when you do become wealthy, the taste of financial freedom will be much much better.

The Emotional connect

The secret of a successful artist is the ability to connect with the audience at an emotional level.

That can only happen when you have an intense emotional drive for what you’re doing.

If you think you don’t have that drive, then reconsider what you’re doing else you’ll just be wasting your time.

Listening is Meditation

Do you listen or just hear?

Hearing is the function of our mind and mind has a tendency to constantly rationalize. When mind is engaged in rationalization it cannot fully attend.

When you just hear, you’re mostly getting ready to speak and perhaps mentally rehearsing what you’re going to say next.

Listening is much more deeper – it involves the heart or soul may be!

When you listen, you give your full attention to what’s being communicated to you. You not only just focus on what the other person is saying but you also focus on what he or she means.

Listening is Meditation. So clear your mind for the duration and give your 100% to the conversation.

Listening well is as much about meditation as meditation is about listening.

That’s the only way you can live each moment fully.

The Attitude of Acceptance

Vishal Khandelwal · Sep 25, 2015 · Leave a Comment

Life will allow you to feel sad for as long as you wish. Your story could be sad but it may not be the truth.

The truth is that you need to embrace life with all its messiness and difficulties.

That attitude of acceptance is the key to liberation from all sufferings.
